Beginner's Mahjong 101 Class - Thursday, June 18th 6:00pm - 8:30pm

Gather. Learn. Play!

We can’t wait to gather with you for Mahjong 101 — an evening at the table designed for beginners who are ready to learn in a welcoming, encouraging space. Our Founder Emily, a certified mahjong instructor, will personally teach the class, walking you through the tiles, the rhythm of the game, and everything you need to feel confident playing.

Location: Flourish Coworking (conveniently attached to the shop)

5:45pm–6:00pm // Arrival + welcome drinks and light bites
6:00pm–8:30pm // Instruction and guided play

Teaching will begin right at 6:00pm so everyone can move through the lesson together — please plan to arrive a few minutes early to get comfortable.

We’ll provide everything you need to learn + play comfortably:

• Beautiful mahjong tiles
• Table mat
• Racks + pushers
• Table lamp (bring your readers if you use them!)
• Shufflers
• Line finder tools
• Official National Mahjong League Card
• A signature spritz (with a mocktail option available)
• Light bites to enjoy while you play

Just come ready to learn — we’ll handle the rest!

In Mahjong 101, you’ll:

• Learn the tiles, the structure of the game, and how it all comes together
• Practice the natural rhythm and flow of play
• Play a guided game using the official National Mahjong League card

By the end, you won’t just understand mahjong — you’ll feel ready and excited to sit down and play again!

You’ll leave with:

Because each table is carefully arranged for the best learning experience, refunds are not available for this class. If a true emergency prevents you from attending, please reach out — we’ll be happy to provide a gift card that you can apply toward a future class.

We kindly ask that you make every effort to attend as planned. Mahjong is played with four people at each table, and every seat plays an important role in creating a smooth and enjoyable experience for everyone.
